  what a huge contrast Between this and that broom Leys surgery, appointments run on time, pleasant and helpful receptionist, good Doctors, great nurses. not been with them long but in my experience so far, excellent. & I have lived in lots of different countries and different parts of the UK this place is the by far the best.

  I never leave reviews but I feel I have to regarding this one. Some very nice doctors make up for poor service from reception! Called regarding my 2yr old son who had a bad rash, first I was offered a phone consultation (for a rash) finally saw a doctor after 5pm so said it was bad and advised if it got worse to come back and Wrote on my notes that a priority appointment should be given. It got worse, called at 8am and was told they were fully booked already??!! Waited again for a phone consultation, got to see a nurse who gave different medicine. By the Monday my son couldn't walk so called again and offered by reception an appointment for 12pm the following day (not having any medical experience). Another phone consultation and saw a lovely helpful doctor my son ended up in hospital overnight, so thanks to my and my mums persistence he got sorted. (no thanks to the reception)

  I believe Long Lane Surgery is very good in terms of the staff and also the services. Yes it can take time to get through to get appointments at the start of the day but it does have to manage a lot of patients. The extension of services will reinforce the presence within the community and I have always found that the people there actually care about getting the right treatment for the individual. Thank you
